Anworth Mortgage Asset Corporation is a real estate investment trust (“REIT”). We invest primarily in United States agency adjustable-rate mortgage-backed securities issued or guaranteed by United States government sponsored entities, such as Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, on a leveraged basis. We qualify as a REIT for federal income tax purposes and are not subject to federal corporate income taxes on distributions to our stockholders. Anworth Mortgage Asset Corporation was founded in 1997.
